Ketchup

OK so I was bored! Still, I like the impact of this picture, the colours are bold and work well together and the cropping shows just how little information you need to see exactly what it is and which brand of ketchup.

Part of the attraction of this shot is the diagonal composition. Diagonals will add a bit of excitement to any subject, so when added to one as colourful and gooey as this, you are bound to get a reaction.

Some people will hate this picture, some will love it, but most people will be provoked into having a strong opinion one way or the other. The worst thing is to be ignored, better that you create a negative reaction than no reaction at all.

I did a whole series of these pictures, I call it my 'ketchup period', it was a lot of fun, except of course for the cleaning up afterwards.
