Studio Still Life

I made friends with the lady who ran the flower shop oposite my studio and she used to bring me curiosities like this two tone flower. Although it's not as rare as you might think, the fact that a florist would not use this in an arrangement means that it is something that the public doesn't see too often.

To make the picture more interesting I sprayed the flower with water mixed with a little glycerine to thicken it up and make nice big droplets on the petals.

A jaunty diagonal and careful exposure complete the picture.
