With a polarize there's really no need to think. WYSWYG - What you see is what you get. Simply turn that sucker until you see the desired effect.

Like the foreground wood n stuff...not too keen on the background...seems a bit crammed in together with everything.

I had a few of just the wood but decided on this as thought would add more interest. Point taken though.

I like the texture of the wood and the rusty bolt. What do you mean by turning the polarizer, Derek? I just fitted mine and hoped for the best! Is there any more science to it than that? Ooops! Better luck next time, if that's the case. Sad

Lol, Yvonne, u should know by now that nothing is straight forward with this hobby of ours!!! Once the old polariser is on u are able to turn it 360 deg. If u look through the eye piece while doing this u will see the difference. For example, if I had watched the sky and turned the filter I would of noticed the blue would of gone darker then back to light, darker is what I wanted. Kev said there is no need to think! I just proved him wrong! Smile

I wished I'd known that before going up to the Hermitage at the week-end!!! Why is it no-one advises you of this when you buy these things? Thanks for the tip - fore-armed is fore-warned. Thumbs Up!
