I think this is rather over exposed. I like the idea of the traffic headlight trails but I think it would work better with shorter exposure or better still a lower ISO setting, which would darken everything else and make the streaks of light from the cars stand out more. Also the colour is very weird indeed. I know this is the colour of some sodium lights but I would try dialling out some of the red and yellow and see what you get.


Anyway it's great to see you using a tripod, if you can stand it, you should try this shot when the streets are wet.

If your monitor is calibrated properly you should see sixteen distinct tones from white to black.
