This is my fave of your three uploads. The colours are nice and the composition is nicely balanced and interesting. The pier diagonal is especially appealing to me.
Just one note - the left side of the frame is a little bit dark/loss of detail. IF it were my pic I'd lighten up just those regions to bring it out a wee bit more.
As you are using Nikon I highly recommend that you get Capture NX2. It's colour control point features are exceptionally good (and easy) at pin-pointing specific areas and adding a touchup to only that particular area.

Thanks a lot Kev, I appreciate your comments. I will take up your recommendation of Capture NX2 - all your other tips eg polariser etc have been fruitful for me, so thanks again. (Y)

You will enjoy how Capture NX2 processes NEF files. It only makes sense to use it...because it's Nikon's own technology and works with their own platform best. I also recommend that you get Jason Odell's e-book ("The photographers guide to Capture NX2") to go with it. It's very good and covers all stuff you will need. The regular manual (as with all manuals) isn't that good.
One feature I especially find really handy...is that one can save many different 'versions' of the image...within the "same" NEF file.

I love this picture, it's a real 'competition winner'. I'm not sure I agree about lightening up the left side, I think the darker area helps to 'contain' the picture and 'stop' the light coming in from the right. Beautifully sharp with exquisite detail and colours, everything about this picture is good. One tiny criticism, I do find myself wanting to see a bit more on the right, but maybe there was something ugly there that you wanted to crop out.

When I say lighten up the left side...I'm not referring to the whole area...I just mean "small pockets" in the fishing baskets that would bring out a bit more detail.

Thanks so much, Geoff - really appreciated. Re, the righthand side - I'll go back to it but I'm sure it was only sea water unless I've missed something that perhaps could add to the overall quality. The colours of the creels etc are exactly how they were photographed - I did have my polariser on, so that probably helped a bit. Thanks again for your positive comments - made my day!

OK - Had a quick check and this is all there is, but I can see a rope leading from the pier so maybe, on the day, there was a boat tied to it, I can't remember as I took a lot of harbour areas over a period of weeks. However, as the location is only a short drive away, may re-visit and take in a wider angle or re-position. Kev, I understand what you mean about some dark areas in the baskets , may need highlighting slightly to show interest, so I'll play about and see if any improvements can be made. Thanks a lot, guys!
