I like the smooth bokeh here, altho I think you still could have achieved it with a smaller aperture (say f/8 or even f/11) and also obtained a bit more detail on the subjects...as the wisteria is situated far enough in front of the background. The noise is controlled, even when viewed at the larger size and it's pretty sharp overall too. The only thing I'm gonna kick yer butt over is shooting this in direct sunlight - which you know, is a floral saturation/balance killer.


Sometimes I also feel tempted to shoot flowers on a lovely bright sunny day, but then I wack myself upside the head with an iron skillet, to remind me that my time would be better spent laying on the beach instead.

If your monitor is calibrated properly you should see sixteen distinct tones from white to black.
