Just sharing a shot of my Red Asian Arowana. It is not easy to take pictures of fishes due to the low light condition and reflections of the tank glass.

I used Nikon creative lighting system by using my D80 as the commander and a Sb600 as a slave on the top.

Hope you like this picture as much as I do.

Yo Swotzy, haven't seen you around much lately.
I like the fish. However, I think I would bring out the colours a bit more, and this is probably the kind of shot that would really look great IF you created a nice jet-black background which would give it that 'designer' type look and make the fish even more brilliant.

The bubbles above the fish might look good close up, but from this perspective they almost look a bit messy to me.

Great, nice and sharp. Which, as you say, is not easy. I think I agree about the bubbles, they're not big enough to look good, I think it would improve the picture to take them out. Love the barrel.

i agree too that it would be better without the bubles you only have to stop the pump and take another shot

Thanks all for the comments. I was torn between leaving the bubbles behind or edit them out. It is easy to do so as the background is black, but I thought it had some interesting visual effect. Ha Ha!! Guess I was wrong.

Aside to Kev: Missing in action cos I have been cultivating a new hobby. Started delving deeper into drinking chinese tea and collecting chinese teapots. I did take some pictures, I could upload them here to share.
