I think this had the makings of a really nice vista shot...unfortunately, the overall IQ is somehat lacking, plus the obvious flare takes away from it as well.


Shooting directly into the sun like that is a challenge at any time...IF you'd taken this just before sunrise it would have probably turned out to be a great picture. Timing is everything with landscapes like this.The sun is now too high, hence the obvious probs, etc.


What do they say - the early bird catches the worm Wink


ISO 200 and a tripod at f/16 is a must too in order to keep that noise to a minimum.

If your monitor is calibrated properly you should see sixteen distinct tones from white to black.
