Sorry I've been away for a while, but I hope to remedy that shortly with some more time on here to provide feedback. Welcome any new kids on the block I've missed.

This is a tripod-mounted HDR shot out of the window of a restaurant I stopped at for a cuppa in Llangollen in North Wales. The river Dee was swollen due to snow melt and made quite a pleasant outlook.
I wanted to give this shot a go to try to capture the internal "still life" exposure and still get a nice flowing long exposure for the river outside.
It hasn't quite worked 100% as there are still some blowouts in the whites of the water, but all in all, I'm quite (but not absolutely) happy with the end result.

...and yes, I know there could be some perspective correction done here (you should have seen it before post) but I quite like it as it is.

This is my fav of the three uploads. I love the forground feel and texture, plus the background window scene adds an interesting twist and depth. The water does look slightly odd tho...almost like a painting effect, etc.

I guess you are happy to be back downunder from your trip upover? Wink

Now this is the Honez type shots i remember from old.Love the rich wood window sill and the blurred water. Only thing i might have changed is i would have boosted the red on the top of the plant.Still a superb shot glad you are back.
