Yes, the Columbines are now in bloom in the local gardens.
This image is best viewed in the larger format as one can see a lot more detail of course. I do like the colour tones, and the variety of shadow gives it a good degree of depth and doesn't let the image look flat...which is always a possibility with mono-colour subjects like this. IF I had to make one small constructive comment...I would like to see a bit more fine detail even at this viewing distance...so I would shoot f/16-f/22 for this kind of flower...f/7.1 is rather shallow I feel.

Thanks Kev .I think i did do a couple at higher / lower f stop. I also tried your
stacking but failed with that .Must try again.I bought this one at garden centre but have diffrent ones in the garden just coming out.

If your monitor is calibrated properly you should see sixteen distinct tones from white to black.
