The flower centre is less than 10mm across in size.
The main challenge here was to get the correct amount of controlled lighting on the flower to bring out the centre detail (without blowing the petals)...
as the purple colour is almost black and absorbs the light like crazy.

Thanks guys...I appreciate the positive feedback.
I must admit tho, I do still feel a bit 'wanting' on some of these shots.
Ie: I'd like to get even more clarity and better resolution...But, I don't think it's possible with the eaquipment that I've got.

If your monitor is calibrated properly you should see sixteen distinct tones from white to black.
