How unusual for you to take one outside. That is more like the one in my Garden.

No, I never take pics handheld.

The background colors compliment this nicely. I like this, perhaps just because it's a refreshing change from the studio pics. But maybe also because the diagonal lines are giving a sense of movement.

I agree, an outdoor approach with a blurred bokeh is a nice change from the studio shots. My main dilemma, is living here right next to the ocean with almost constant sea breezes. I intend to shoot more of this style...I just have to figure out an optimal (and consistant) method of doing so.
It appeared 'dead calm' when I took this - however, even so...there was still some slight movement back n forth, plus the actual flower was protected under my back porch as I shot (looking outwards) into the courtyard.
Those lines in the bokeh are created by the tall bamboo at the back.
