A sunrise shot from North Stradbroke Island, in Moreton Bay, just off the coast of Brisbane.
It was very blustery, and unfortunately the clouds obscured the actual sunrise. I quite like this shot though as it turned out a lot better than I feared at the time. I was a bit concerned about the blustery wind moving the camera on the tripod and some of the softness shows, but it's not quite as bad as I thought it would be.
I'd love to see your thoughts on this.

I like it a lot. The clouds are under a seemingly brighter sky, and the "dark" look seems to promise a storm. The rocks in the foreground are like a fortress, against the coming waves and wind. You can see the sea already making some waves in the background. The breaks in the clouds are sort of like a sense of hope, lending some light to the scene. Overall, it's really really nice.

The composition for this is spot on. But the Hdr effect is not working for me on this one.Just looks over the top which is unusual for you.I assume you did this with raw files. Maybe a more natural shot taken from it ?? would look better
More like the other picture with the two rocks in the foreground.

I like this one the most...composition-wise it's got more happening, interest, etc.
Yes, it's an obvious HDR shot....and I still can't decide whether or not I'm a fan of that...when it comes to landscapes.
The ocean looks like a painting.

If your monitor is calibrated properly you should see sixteen distinct tones from white to black.
