Diwali Lamp - Indian Lamp

Description: This is a photo of an indian lamp used during indian festival of light(DIWALI). Diwali is a hindu festival celebrated each year by all hindus across the planet. The photo is of an oil lamp. The flames are on the edges at each of the 3 levels. On the top is a golden colored peacock. The sheer warmth of the colors and the shine caught my eye and thought it would make a nice photo. please share your comments.

solitary tree

Description: I was driving down a street and saw this tree lit up by the single light in otherwise a dark street. Took my camera and started clicking. Rolled down the window and put the camera on the car door, focused the camera on the tree, set the timer for 3 secs and fired away. No flash, no tripod. After several experiments I thought this was the best image to upload. Please share your comments.
