Antique Whiskey Crock 2 (warmer)

Description: The wife found this old whiskey crock in a local antique store the other day...so now it's sitting on our livingroom fireplace mantle with this winter scene stuff :) Anyways, I was asked to take a photo of it. I cheated coz I used the flash...but it didn't turn out too bad considering the lighting was abysmal. I just turned on the chandelier lighting hanging directly behind me to obtain a warmer colour tone on this shot.

Description: Every year, Mom cans veggies from the garden. This year, I took photos :) I left the line in. That's what my camera now does with every photo, guys. It really stinks too. I'm just glad it wasn't a red one!

Not in the House!!!!

Description: My Dad is a painter. He paints the housings to clothes steamers. So all day long he works 8 hours a day, with gray, (and apparently a little blue) paint. I caught this photo as we were about to leave. Dad had taken off his work boots and left them right by the porch steps. I love the color of the brick on them! P.S. Sorry if the image quality is not as sharp as it might be! I was trying out a polarizer filter, and I still had on the UV. So, two filters...makes for an un-sharp image. I decided to take the filters off, unless I [i]needed[/i] them!

Description: I saw a picture like this the other day, and I wanted to try out my own version. I know tea doesn't belong in a coffee cup, but what's a girl to do with no "real" tea cups around?? So, I found the cleanest, simplest coffee cup I could, and had a go at it. Next time, I'll try coffee ;)

Toys of the past

Description: Yes, we still use it! I don't swing on it as much as I used to though...A couple years ago, I'd jump off our "Fort" (6-ft Guard tower looking thingy) on this thing, and whew.....I'm lucky I didn't break my neck! There's nothing like playing outside in the fresh air! Sometimes our backyard looks like the community playground! Most all the kids around come over to play with the boys and my sister. That should make some good photo ops this summer.

"Perrier Water" Bottle - Take 2

Description: Here's a different variation with a reflection image. It was actually very tricky to create coz I had forgotten to shoot the foreground subjects (glass & bottle) as seperate images. So, when it came time to make the reflection true I had to make 5 different layers in order to tuck the underlying bottle reflection up under the glass...because with a straightflorward flip (transform) reflection there would normally be a large-ish gap between the bottle ends, and only the glasses would touch. Just goes to show how much one has to 'think' & plan at setup time :)

"Perrier Water" On Ice

Description: This is what I drink, if I feel like something carbonated. Add some organic 100% freshly squeezed orange juice and lemon...and you have a great tasting pop :) It's not quite finihed yet (I still have to clean up a few lines, ie: on top of the cap, etc)...but it's almost done. I first shot the bottle neck label close up and added a gradient with reduced opacity. Then another background fill layer behind that with another gradient. After that I look the subject image with ice, etc...isolated it...and layered everything together.
