Hopefully by Friday I'll have time to sit and check out the free bonus E-learning course I received as part of the Camera House promotion. And maybe from there I can progress....... I don't yet have my new camera but I'd like some advice if anyone can help .... I was in the camera shop looking at the Nikon D90 and getting a feel for it. The shop assistant suggested That I get the one lens 18 - 200mm. His reasoning was that it would save me carrying around two lens's and more time saved using one instead of changing between two. My first thought was no. it was heavy and it wasn't what I had been thinking about doing. I was going to start with 18 -105mm . Learn all about the camera and go from there. I'm wondering what you guys thought about the 18 -200mm VR lens... Everything I've read and heard is that people tend to go for the two different size lens and I haven't heard anything about using the one..... I still have no real idea about how to use this camera and looking forward to learning, any info will be useful.... Ta guys. I was tidying up my cactus plants after the wind had blown leaves and rubbish all over them. This lizard lives under the shelf the plants sit on. He was a bit wary about coming out while I was there... we were eyeing each other off and him getting closer and closer when he thought I wasn't looking. I had to laugh when he made himself comfortable on the cactus plant.....

1 comment pauline Tue, 09 Dec 2008 07:28:14 -0600 yellow lilly http://www.geofflawrence.com/photopost//showphoto.php?photo=1893

by: pauline

Description: advice needed guys.. whats right and whats wrong pauline Tue, 09 Dec 2008 07:14:54 -0600 yellow lilly http://www.geofflawrence.com/photopost//showphoto.php?photo=1892

by: pauline

Description: advice needed guys.. whats right and whats wrong

2 comments pauline Tue, 09 Dec 2008 07:14:51 -0600 soak_2 http://www.geofflawrence.com/photopost//showphoto.php?photo=1853

by: pauline

Description: Spotted on my Bike ride. One with flash, and one without. The orange glow drew me outside. Sunrise about 7am I saw the sky as a deep orange glow but not so heavy and eerie looking as in the pic. I love the way I had three different looks at the time. That little branch in the foreground hanging off the tree annoys me no end as I take a lot of pictures of the sky from this position on my verandah.. It's way too high for me to remove... one day it'll become so brittle that it'll fall off... I can't wait till that day..

6 comments pauline Thu, 30 Oct 2008 20:30:23 -0500
