This is really two pictures in one. The horizon is almost exactly halfway up the frame, which is always to be avoided if possible. And the contrast is so high that the sky is too light and the grass is too dark.


You need to think about what you are taking a picture of, the sky or the grass. As it's called 'grass' rather than 'cloudy sky' I guess that's what you intended.


I think, if it were mine, I would cut off the bottom of the picture and darken the whole thing down. Then you would have almost black grass against a dark moody sky. This might look better in black and white as well.


You have a really good eye for a picture though, your choice of subject matter is great. These little details, that others might pass by without noticing, can make fantastic pictures.

If your monitor is calibrated properly you should see sixteen distinct tones from white to black.
