You are definitely a train buff.
I do like the stark contrast between the thick, lush Malaysian foliage and the metalic persona of the tracks and locomotive.


However, you've always got to be careful with these shots due to your extremely strong sunlight just 3-4 degrees from the equator and somewhat harsh shooting conditions. As you well know, even on the most cloudy of days, this is always going to create a challenge. The over-exposed far background is a perfect example of this.


This shot would be nicer IF the train was actually somewhat closer - I reckon.

If your monitor is calibrated properly you should see sixteen distinct tones from white to black.
