Awhile ago, I posted a self-portrait (the b&w photo of myself that ended up as a more creepy photo than a portrait). This time, I had some lighting that I could play with and it turned out looking a bit better, in my opinion. But, that's just my opinion. I'd like to hear what you think.

Personally - I stll think you look like a psycho-killer Smile
No seriously, it does smack of a little bit creepy...the contrast is rather dark which only excentuates that vibe. Why do you have your hand on your chest like that? - Are you implying that you have a bad heart - LOL!?

I think the black background & leather jacket are just too similar here.

KEV - Good to hear it's dark and creepy - exactly what I was going for. I do Industrial music and decided to do a promo-type shot for my music. Since my music, like most Industrial, has a bleak, futuristic feel to it, I wanted a photo that matches that vibe. As for the hand on the chest thing... it was to keep the jacket closed since I was too warm to button it and was wearing something rather business casual under it (not consistent with the Industrial theme! heh heh heh).

It does look creepy but I guess that's what you want....and that's all that matters. The idea of the lighting was good BUT it was too harsh on the head and hand causing some burnt out areas. Keep working on the lighting.

CAPPY1927 - The "burnt" areas happened during post, using the overlay and burn layer options (in The GIMP). It gave me what I wanted in the background, but kind of blew out the highlights. The lighting in the actual, unedited photo was actually pretty spot on. Sadly, I've yet to perfect post processing and getting all parts of the photo (shadows and highlights) to do what I want them to... at the same time! heh heh
