I like this one of the two the most. Obviously the lighting now is much better than before...and just like we said, the clarity and detail has improved noticeably.

You still need to compensate a bit tho - the shot is a little too light, and as her skin is very pale, I think a darker background colour would be more suited to work as a contrast.

I'd keep your file size down to about 1200 or 1500 pix too - that way the image here won't have much quality loss.

Getting the lighting exactly right won't happen overnight - now you need to experiment and play around to obtain your best shooting setup.

As you seem determined to get successful results - I still reckon that a trip down to a local professional portrait studio - would be really usefull. They'd probably let you watch a session and give you some info/tips.

You're capturing this little cutie better every time! She is going to be quite professional soon. I agree with Kev in that a darker background would complement the wee one's skin tone, the white makes her look cold. Well done - she is lovely! Smile

Thank you, Kev, Yvonne! I'm trying. I've experiemented a little with some other backgrounds but nothing I like so far. I get you now, Kev. The velvet with that much light shows everyone of my dogs' hair, lol. What sorts of materials are good to use? I did some on white with her clothed and they came out a little better I think, not so much of her oh-so-fair skin to show off then Wink
