As this shot isn't very sharp...I suspect that you didn't use a proper macro lens (1:1 ratio) and just close-up maxed out your regular lens (?)


The colours look rather overly saturated too.

I'm heavy handed with the saturation. May have to learn to hold back a bit with that I think. This was taken with an old lens from a F80 with a macro switch 2:1.. so I guess it's not a real macro. I do really love close up photography though. My next purchase will be along the lines of macro gear. I'll read up on other peoples experiences for a bit before I jump and buy.

terrific shot but why did you leave a space at top right-hand corner???
petals' textures are sharply captured. congrats..!!!

If your monitor is calibrated properly you should see sixteen distinct tones from white to black.
