Hooray!!!! Smile
Her face is much sharper. There's no fuzzy stuff happening around the eyes, nose & mouth. See, the journey is always worth it. That's the clearest shot you've uploaded - to date. Now keep 'em all like this.

I second da motion. Keep it up. Next you need to work on the contrast.

As you don't own a Nikon (if you did I would recomment NX2)...I suggest that you use/learn Photoshop Elements 7 for your image processing. It has all the editing features that you will need, plus a lot more. For $89 USD you can't beat it.
In PS7 you can quickly adjust exposure, shadows, highlights, contrast, etc which will greatly improve the overal quality/balance of your pics.

Simple.

Have a look at this tutorial to start with:

It's quite good to get you started but it doesn't mention anything about 'levels' which should be your first port of call, after getting a copy of Photoshop Elements that is. I will update this tutorial shortly.

If you are shooting RAW files you should make you adjustments in Adobe Camera Raw, have a look at this tutorial:

And don't forget to dowload and install the correct ACR for your camera model.

Adobe Camera Raw (ACR)
It's a plugin that's free from Adobe.
You get it from their website - there's instructions where to put it, etc.
