Had to put all three of my ND filters and lower the EV to get this dark enough (grad is in the mail). But once again the rain made it quick (if its not sharp enough blame the weather Smile

I must admit, I'm not a big fan of HDR/FX'd landscape shots...probably coz I'm too much of a purist at heart. I do enjoy HDR, etc in certain circumstances...such as with our resident Machine Boy Honez and his hot-rod carzzz, etc. However, so far I'm yet to see a really great looking landscape scene done this way.


Having said all that - I do like this one the most of your recent uploads. The foreground rock/water area looks good. It has a nice sharp/alive presence to it.


I do think the top of the pic is sorta cut-off too abruptly tho...the dam needs a bit more headroom, so to speak.

If your monitor is calibrated properly you should see sixteen distinct tones from white to black.
