Let me make a suggestion here...besides using a decent circular polarizer around water, etc.


Try taking a shot like this from a more unconventional viewing angle...ie: get down on the ground and shoot the swans more at 'their' level...as opposed to the traditional human viewing position. Lay on the deck, etc...try a few different perspectives. Look for an interesting/unusual slant on things.

If your monitor is calibrated properly you should see sixteen distinct tones from white to black.
