still practising. And finding it easier as I go along. This plant and log always draws me back to it. I can see what i want to do but not right yet.. luckily it's in the block next door, only a few feet away from my fence...

Pauline, with small flowers such as these...I think it's important to 'get in close' so that the blooms become the real point of interest, plus one can see a lot more detail. You can still use the wood as an interesting, textured backdrop but define what the photograph is really all about.

Smile Cool ! Thanks Kev.. I'll pop out in a little while and have another go.. Might be a bit bright out there at the moment...


Sun is shining and with a bit of luck that and the wind will dry up some of the water lying around.
Just read in the paper that this has been our wettest winter for 18 years...


Very easy to believe !
