The Story Bridge over the Brisbane River as a storm approaches.
I took my camera out for a walk at lunchtime in the city before the rainclouds opened up.

Yes, as per usual...your HDR approach works very well. You've certainly captured the thunder down under. Nothing quite like a QLD humid summer storm to clear the sinuses - eh! Smile

Thanks guys, I took quite a bit of time to meter and work out the correct exposures so that I got the entire dynamic range for the series of shots for this image. It took a lot of fiddling around and quite a few test shots to make sure I captured all the shadows and highlights without losing anything. I used a white card for the white balance too (first time I've done that) so I'm pretty pleased with how it turned out, as it's pretty close to the scene as I remember seeing it.

richinger has it in one! Looking at this I have the feeling I will never reach that stage, but I suppose it's a case of "If at first you don't succeed ....".

Thanks for the feedback, much appreciated and probably undeserved.
And BlueCrane, I beg to differ. Have a look back at my earlier stuff. Plenty of 'room for improvement' there and I still think there is now. I look at pro photos and think I've still got a way to got before I get to that level.

You can not beat a view of a summer storm rolling over Brisbane with a great bridge to round off the photo. Good one.
