Yes, the lighting under the stairs is interesting. Plus the shapes and pattern has intrigue. The overall luminosity tho...is a bit lacking...it needs a mid-range boost (adjustment) to bring out more detail. Post processing is key to pictures, especially ones like this.

I like the architecture, but not the people (sorry). The kid on the stairs is okay, but the people up the top are a real distraction for me.

If your monitor is calibrated properly you should see sixteen distinct tones from white to black.
