I think this is your best portrait shot - to date. I like the smooth FX on it as it gives it that demure touch.

Thanks, Kev. Tried to sharpen the eyes a bit more but still can't get the hang of masking

You don't need to mask...simply use NX2...add a selection control point to each eye (any size yo like) and apply the USM to that region only.


It would take about 20 seconds to do.


You could also brighten the blue at the same time - just a bit to bring it out more.


NX2 is a snap to use for this kind of adjustment. Extremely quick and easy.

If your monitor is calibrated properly you should see sixteen distinct tones from white to black.
