This shot is the more interesting of the two. It's relatively sharp and the composition/framing is pretty good as well. I think you just need to use a smaller aperture than f/4 (cos it's quite a large flower)...plus try to get it as sharp (in focus) as possible...so a tripod will always offer up a better image here Wink

If your monitor is calibrated properly you should see sixteen distinct tones from white to black.
