a zoo photo. used shallow dof to make it more of a portrait than a wildlife shot. reloaded after toying with saturation curve. got a bit more yellow in the beak and around the eye.

I love the sharpness of the eyes. They're crystal clear, and that's great... I think I would have increased the saturation some and made the whole picture more vivid, but it's still nice the way it is. Good comp too, with the shoulder outside the frame coming in to the middle... I like it!

thanks for the compliments. working on getting rid of the long white blob hanging from his beak (fence post).

If your monitor is calibrated properly you should see sixteen distinct tones from white to black.
