Another try at a product shot. This photo is maybe not as clear as it could be... that comes from not having a tripod. I am stuck pretty much in the house with all this snow, so this is the result of boredom. Kev's photos have inspired me to try studio shots though, so here I go.. Me and my Powershot... LOL!

Tis your best effort to date. The extraction is quite clean and you have created the 'floating' look. Product shots do normally have to be tack-sharp tho...this image is a bit soft...as you can see. Now, you really need to buy a decent DSLR in order to do yourself justice. Which "cutout" tool did you end up using here?

Thanks Kev. I appreciate it all! A decent DSLR? It will be a long time before I get enough money to buy one of those. But, I have plans to do so in the future... Until then... more practice!

Cutting tool? I used the Polygonal Lasso since the box was straight lines.

You are doing really well considering what camera and equipment you have.
The big benifit i have found with you is you see something and give it a go.
It is harder to do this with your limited equipment than it is for some of us.
Well done

Thanks guys! I do want to get as good as I can with my camera before I get a new one. I figured it out, and I could probably get something in the $500-$600 dollar range in a year - If I saved hard...So, once I get a tripod, and master my camera, I might look at saving for one. Thanks for the tips and advice!
