Bulls, see that little camera icon above under "Additional Info"? If you click that, you'll see the camera settings stored within the JPEG file. So you don't need to record all the details yourself. The camera does that for you!


In this case, the ISO was WAY up there, which you can tell by the amount of noise that you see in the sky. Assuming this photo didn't have much movement, you could have gone with a much slower shutter speed and brought your ISO down to reduce that noise. But composition wise, this just isn't a compelling photo for me, because the sun and sky are rather plain and the sillouhette that is presented just isn't that interesting. I want the image to draw me in and tell me a story, and this one doesn't do that. I know, it can be tough, and don't worry, you are not alone. I'll post maybe one shot out of a hundred that I take. Just remember, you never stop learning, so don't be discouraged.

Doscouraged and me ..never... Actually this pic i took during the time i had no idea about ISO , Shutter speed n all... u see i even borrowed the camera frm a friend..So probably now i have some idea about all the technicalities reg photography, so will try taking much better snaps than this 1 here.. Thing is i post almost all the pics i take so that by every pic i get to learn something... Will keep clicking and disturbing u guys with the same..

Darken the blacks and boost the colors, and you'll have a decent silhouette! Not perfect by any means, but decent.

If your monitor is calibrated properly you should see sixteen distinct tones from white to black.
