This image is truly staged. Today was very windy and kinda grey-ish...so, I thought I would give it a try shooting from inside my sunroom with the top part of the Dutch door open to keep it calm and to also get the outdoor vibe. The natural lighting was a tad poor but I think I managed to fix that with some selective adjustments in post.
This one was taken at f/16 to get a decent subject DOF and positioned to obtain a reasonable isolation bokeh as well.
I don't think anyone would guess that I actually took the pic from inside the house. Plus, I like the overall colour mix.

Excellent Kev. Neighbour has some of what looks like this in there garden .
Love the sharpness and colours considering it was windy and 1/13 shutter speed

very nice and original. I mean by original that i dont think you have put in so much effort in PS. I see that you are being surrounded by so many beautiful flowers which we find very difficult to find here in india.

Hey anshuman, are you kidding me?
India and South Asia has an abundance of absolutely stunning tropical flowers & plants. On my several trips to Asia I've seen the most exotic, amazing flowers.
You must be looking in all the wrong places Smile

Actually, post -production (ie: developing) is always a BIG part of the digital equation. This shot took about 10 mins to shoot - but about 45 mins to "process" in both NX2 and CS5.

That's how the digital premise is supposed to operate. It's no different than in the old days, where the darkroom was where all the magic happened.

PP is always at least 50% of my workflow.
