Well, I've been waiting 15 years for this tropical Hoya plant to flower...and finally it has.
Once it initially blooms, it can take up to 15-20 years before it will do so again.
Grasshopper say, have patience and all will be revealed Smile

Looks great Kev.So glad you put this one up.I had one of these for about 10 years and it never flowered but had lovely leaves . Think the wife gave it away in a plant down sizing exercise .

WE've actually had this plant for 25 years, and it bloomed for almost 10 years consecutively and then stopped...I thought it wasn't going to flower again...but just a few days ago, we noticed this bloom on one of the vines that was hiding behind some furniture.

I also have a "Crown of Thorns" cactus bush (indoors) that has bloomed 24/7...all year long...for 22 years all the time. I dunno how a plant can produce like that with no rest at all. It's indeed quite remarkable.

Nice detail. You have the craziest plants in your house. So help me out... it blooms in the middle of the stem? What's at the end of the stem that exits the top of the frame?

We have around 65 plants in the house at the moment.
Yes, the Hoya is a series of long vine-stems that all grow out of a large central base (in the pot) like tentacles. These flower pockets grow along the vine at various points. There are leaves along the vine too of course and at the end a growth-bud. At one time we had a Hoya that grew about 35 feet in our dining room and went across the ceiling and draped over the main chandalier Smile
