I like this. It exudes "freshness." Nice catch light on the drops. If I had to make one suggestion it would be to clone out some of the brighter, small droplets on the leaves, as they almost look like white specs instead of water.

Thanks everyone the flowers are so tiny and were very low to the ground close to the house, so in deep shadow, I used some diffused flash, I have taken on board your suggestions and will try to apply it,

Yes, it's a nice capture. The composition is well balanced and the image is both clean and clear. However, it does need a mmid-range (D-lighting) boost in pp...coz it's got that somewaht "dull" look overall.


Think of it like this. When the mid-range dynmics are not adjusted right...it appears as if a thin transparent film has been placed over the photograph...which in turn blocks out the full colour intensity of an image, and reduces the light-brightness too. Thus, there is this "dull" persona...instead of a punchy, alive vibe.

If your monitor is calibrated properly you should see sixteen distinct tones from white to black.
