Beautiful picture, Rich. Just wondering if this was done at 30 sec exposure or longer. The lights formed very long points and I get this effect if done at a longer than 30 sec exposure. One of the most difficult subjects to shoot at long exposure are boats because the cant seem to stay still but you nailed this one. I mean, you must have nailed the boat to the pier to prevent it from moving even an inch. This one is so tact sharp even at 30 sec shutter speed

Mel was indeed done at 30sec at f18 400 iso. The boat was ready to leave so had engine trust on.I think this helped to get the boat still. It is not often you get the boats steady enough to shoot long exposures.I did two shots one at ten sec one aT 3O sec the 10 was not as sharp.

I like this a lot. Very, very clean. And leaving the foreground interest of the dock worked beautifully. Nice job.
