Nice use of the depth of field to have only the subject in focus. But the composition seems to be missing something. Not enough interest.

I would clone out the dark sand to the left, leaving only the crab as the subject of interest. Then try slightly de-saturating everything but the crab, and boosting the colors of the little guy a bit. A very subtle vignette around the edges would add to it, I think, and a High-Pass layer and unsharp mask might just be what it needs Smile I think it's pretty cool! A little work in pp might make it really nice!

If your monitor is calibrated properly you should see sixteen distinct tones from white to black.
