It looks a little over-processed for my taste. Was this a multi-shot HDR, Rich? The pier looks fairly stable, but the boat itself looks like layers are misalligned. Maybe that's just an illusion caused by the jagged edges of the rust.

I pretty much agree with Clem. It is a little over processed, imo.
My guess is that the water moved, as you can see small ripples, and that in doing so, the boat moved as well. That would explain the misaligned look.

You both guessed well it was blowing a gale that day. Should have done one shot a Then HDR it may re visit this one . We live and learn .

If your monitor is calibrated properly you should see sixteen distinct tones from white to black.
