Andy, please do me a favour Smile

...don't shoot flowers in direct (harsh) sunlite.
It kills the saturation and plays absolute havoc with dynamic range & luminosity balance.
Next time take the image on a bright, but completely cloudy day...your'll get MUCH better results.

Did not mean to fool anybody ..... i was just playing with one of the grow lights my wife uses with her plants creating different shadows/shades ....in the living room.. and yes i did read all your blogs and watched all of your pics /or most of them/ before i even uploaded my very first picture i just don't have the eye to see if this picture is good or totally out of balance, yet.. but with all the guidance from you guys ..... thanks

OK, but it's basically the same principle.
When using lights...just make sure that they are diffused...and not harsh/direct onto the subject. This applies to both natural and man-made sources.

Thanks for your expert advise looks like for a long time i still won't have the eye for which one is a great picture and which one is a foolish idea so thank for your patience too...

Andy ~ It's not a foolish idea! Just keep playing around and trying new ideas. That's how you have fun with your photos, and they get better.
