I took this pic in P.C. beach. It looked much better with the naked eye. It seems like all the pics I take of things that are vibrant come out bland. Any suggestions?

Welcome to the site, tacydale. IMHO, it needs some sharpening in Photoshop and you have to check the horizon. Its leaning a little to the right and its right smack in the middle. It also needs a subject that we could focus on like a person or a dog or a bird on the beach, or maybe a boat on the water. I would also practice the rule of thirds on this photo. Just click on the tutorial on the left side of your screen. Have fun and enjoy shooting.

Welcome and good attempt. The horozon is tilting which can be corrected in photoshop and some in some cameras it can be done. The horizon is splitting the frame in half which is good if you have a subject and taking mirror image of reflection. An object in the front will help in guiding the view.

They're right in that an object would help the composition. Since you don't have one though, try straightening the horizon. That will help a lot. As to the vibrant colors, that's not too hard Wink Simply add contrast and boost the saturation in photoshop/gimp/picasa or whatever program you use. You'll be surprised at the difference.
