Actually I like this better. It gives a bit of context to the whole thing. Are those spikes really to keep the pidgeons away?

I agree with Geoff, widening the shot out a bit makes the central character even more interesting and draws your eye to him. I like the colours in the coats of arms too- so much detail in the whole photo and the angle is great too!

Yes, this shot is much better, as it offers a far more interesting frame. The only bit I don't like...is the grey-sky at top right....with a crisp, clear blue sky...this pic would look great.

Kev, do me a favour and send me some stock pics of blue sky! I cant remember what it looks like! Poxy weather! The spikes are for pidgeons, they are like rats around here! Thanks yvonne for ur comment.
