This was my answer when I was asked for a innocent ‘glamor’ portrait.


Does anyone remember the Fiona Apple music video for Criminal? Well, when I saw the cheetah print pillow I knew I really wanted that instant ‘Polaroid’ look with a bit of grittiness. So, I did what I wasn’t supposed too… I used the flash (smacks the back of my hands).


But at least I had a light bouncing off the wall to bring tone to her skin and reduce the hotspots. I liked the overall effect… I didn’t even mind the black outline from using the flash.

I'll be honest, and say that I don't think this is a very flattering shot.
Sometimes it's a good idea to look at a pic like this in a very objective, detached type of manner Wink

If your monitor is calibrated properly you should see sixteen distinct tones from white to black.
