Crocus?, nah those bloom in late winter and are low to the ground Wink
That's a purple iris getting ready to open...wait a few more days and it will look something like this.

The crop is a bit too tight - I reckon, give it a little more breathing room....and, shoot flowers on a bright but cloudy day, not in direct sunlight...trust me, you will get much nicer resutls.

Yikes Kev, yours looks colourful enough to be a cuttlefish (definitely my fave cephalopod)

Thanks Kev, I am learning now not to shoot on bright days and it does make a big difference.
