Almost sunset on the north shore of the Maroochy River. This was an interesting-looking tree that caught my attention. I couldn't get an angle on it without the branch and grasses intruding from the right, and they're much too much work to get rid of in P/Shop.
The area was pretty swampy and I was being eaten alive by midges, so I didn't hang around for the post-sunset afterglow.

Hi honez!
Nice shot I think! Beautiful view, clear picture, fine lightening and lovely sky. But because of the branches I can't enjoy the sky. I think that you use the sky to enhance the form of the branches but I wouldn't put the tree in the centre and would enjoy the both Smile

The best part for me is the vibe you've got happening on the foreground water. It's kinda neat. The horizon level is real crooked tho. You musta had a few too many tinnies the night before Smile

Nice clear pic. I like the clear sky reflection and the way the cloud seems to draw the branches higher which, I think, adds to the overall image. I have a query. Is it not more important that the tree should be straight rather than worrying about the horizon? :-)

To be honest, I think getting the horizon straight is the most important. In this case (Kev) things are about as straight as I can get them, but the river itself curves away on the far bank making the horizon look a bit out of kilter. Check the smaller sandbank/mudflat in the water and you'll see what I mean for the horizontal.
Thanks for the feedback guys.
