Looks like what they get when they fire a few off down the large hadron collider to me. I really like it: a moment captured in close-up

For those who are curious, the photo is of the embers that burn off of natural hardwood charcoal. It was windier than usual the other night, and the sparks randomly spiraled around like little fiery fairies. So I thought I would grab the camera and slow the shutter speed down to see what I could catch.


That's a wooden handle to one of my chimney starters to the right of the shot.
