I do like the bougainvillea...I wish I could grow it outdoors where I live...but it's just not quite warm enough year-round. The butterfly is a tad soft, even tho you did use a 1/500s shutter speed. It just shows how fast you need to shoot in order to capture these guys.

Hi Jackie, glad you finally made it to the site. Jackie is a work colleague of mine so, although there is no EXIF data with this file I happen to know that she uses a little Panasonic compact camera. So some of the choice of settings are going to be 'hobson's choice'.

I can see EXIF file okay Geoff she used Panasonic TZ8 i have the TZ7 so good choice of camera and nice pic

Thanks everyone for the comments ......I have only been taking photos for about 2 years and still very new about what to do so I appreciate any comments of help ..... I use a Panasonic DMC TZ8 Lumix and love it .....

If your monitor is calibrated properly you should see sixteen distinct tones from white to black.
