This one's pretty much the jpeg straight from the camera. Just cropped and scaled for uploading. I guess you would call this a "belly shot." My neighbors must think I'm crazy.

Yeah, Clem. Who would, in his/her right state of mind, go down on his/her belly just to take a photo of a flower or an abandoned toy, or take home a parrot lily and spend a lot of time taking a perfect photo, or go near a building and shoot up and complain about cables stapled on the stonework, or go down the dangerous rocks just to take a photo of a waterfall? And to top it all, spend time in front of a computer discussing how to improve the shot with people from Europe, the States, and Asia? Only crazy people would do that.... Wink

Yes, humans are definitely crazy.
Just think...we create fantasy stories about gods, devils and whatnot...then we proceed to fight and kill one another over which fairytale is the right one Smile
Compared to that...shooting flowers on ones belly is rather benign...
Dontcha think? Wink


Nice composition here (I especially like the way the grass blades fall)...but the flowers are a tad soft with no obvious focus point to draw the eye in.
