How did you get on with the quiz? Did you enjoy it? Is it too easy, or too hard? How did you score?

If you haven't tried it yet here's a link http://geofflawrence.com/quiz

Just the thing to do while you wait for it to get dark enough for the
darkroom blackout to be effective :-)

A bit of a wake up call to get a life ?

I really enjoyed the Photo-Nerd Quiz and I also enjoyed reading your write up. I scored 85% on that test and it was a lot of fun. I am just an amateur hobbyist and I'm going to recommend my friends to visit your website.

Yes I like the quiz, but care little for the PN ratings as I got five after refreshing my old brain with the answers. So not to be trapped in a corner with eh? Well I might tell you sir, that I have just been awarded a plaque which reads Warning - Retiree - knows everything, and has plenty of time to tell you all about it. !!

Seriously the quiz was great, because having not had a "real camera" for about 20 years, the old brain cells were lacking in the choice of aperture etc. department, and having received a Rollei da6325 for my christmas birthday, needed to start getting my old head on again to get the best out of the camera.

I've added your lovely site to my favourites, and provided I can stay awake long enough, will add it to my reading list, so I can use my new camera.

Power to your elbow, and believe me when I say, I will feed back to you if I find any glitches on your site. I know the value of feedback, even though some folks can't be bothered. Just tell me if ever the day arrives when you dread seeing my email address - only kidding - haven't the time...

Best wishes for a great 2008,

Frances, Dorset

Hi, just wanted to let you know that there is no "PING" file format. It's PNG for Portable Network Graphics. Also, as far as I know, there are no cameras that save files as PNG or PICT, so technically they would be properly called graphics file formats, whereas I think you can make a case for calling JPEG and TIFF photography file formats.

This has got to be the cheekiest guy around. He has stolen three of my articles and published them on his own website. Then he tries to post a link to them from here.
