I am new to this forum, but not to photography. I have been very interested lately in starting up my own sort of business. I would like to do portraits (family, children) and possibly weddings. I have been told by several people I should start up my own, and am finally getting the courage to try it out. Is there anything tax wise that I need to do in the US? I still believe myself to be amateur, but know with more experience I can get better. I am computer savvy as well, so I don't think I would have a problem setting up a site. The main thing I am concerned about is all the legal stuff, because I have no clue! Also, prices and just general ways to handle clients and payments. Starting out, I don't think I would charge a whole lot. I would like to grow with my own experience.

Thank you for any help given!

Rachel
