Have you seen the new video tutorials? There is one on levels and one on curves. Let me know what you think. Are they better than text tutorials? Do you prefer the written word? Would it be best to have both text and a video?

Let me know your thoughts.

I just watched these two tutorials and they were fantastic!!! I use Corel Paint shop and I was able to use both these techniques and make some significant improvements to a couple of photo's. I'd like to see more of these.

I just joined this site and will be using it often to gain knowledge on how to improve the photos I take. :D

Hi Geoff,

Yes, I think the video tutorials are good...I personally like to see HOW to apply the steps visually...rather than just read how to do it. I think watching them in the larger full-screen size is good too.

I think that when you get into doing the more complex applications (such as creating layers/masking, etc) that you will probably have to break up the tutorial into 2-3 different parts...otherwise they might get a bit too long.

I also think that choosing the PS Elements screen was thes best way to go here, as most learners will probably be using this software, rather than the full CS4 package.

Cheers,

KEV

Like Kev I prefer to see rather than read it's much easier, the tutorials are a great asset to the site.

I just joined up, and I would love to post some photos, but I can't find a way to do it. Can you help?

While you're logged in, go to the member's gallery (there's a link at the top of the page), and you should see a link near the top right which says 'upload photos'.

I just watched the Photoshop Levels and Curves videos. I was really impressed (I should know because I write training for a living)! Unlike some other videos I've watched, your videos were easy to understand and at just the right pace. Please, Please PLEASE make more videos; especially videos using Photoshop elements. :D

Thanks for the nice comments Sudique. I will be making some more vids but, at the moment, I can't say when that will be. I'm having difficulty fitting everything I want to do in to one life at the moment. Still, I prefer that to not having enough to do.
